Welcome Beaumont Bears!

It is hard to believe that it is already April!  It seems like just yesterday that I arrived at Beaumont ready to start the school year and now the school year is almost over.  We have a lot of activities between now and June 6^th.  I will highlight a few things to keep you on target for the month of April.  We are starting to think about the 2013-14 school year and with that being said Pink and Blue Registration and Class Assignment cards went home today.  Please fill out those cards with all of your updated information so that we can start the planning for next year.  Make sure to include your email address so that we can start sending out information electronically too!   CST Testing will begin on April 16^thand go through April 26^th.  Please make sure that your child gets a good night’s sleep and arrives to school on time each day.  Get your child here in time to eat breakfast before school starts.  It is also important to remember not to schedule doctors’ appointments during this window of time because the students need ample time to complete the tests.  I always like to think that testing is an adventure, this year is no different.  On the first day of testing your child will receive their very own “Adventure Book.”  They will be eligible to collect stamps for each day during testing that they are here and on time.  When testing is over, the students who have collected six stamps, having been on time and having perfect attendance during testing, will be entered into a drawing to win four tickets to Disneyland!  The students will also be invited to an “UP” party to celebrate their testing successes.  The last weekend of April will be our Weekend of Service with North Coast Church of Vista.  North Coast will be here all weekend giving our school Spring time beautification that will last for years to come.  They have lots of projects planned and could always use extra help.  If you are available on April 27^thand/or 28^th, please join us in making Beaumont a more beautiful place for our entire community.
